Exterior Satin or Gloss Clear Topcoat for Use Over Exterior Stain


Lifeline Advance is a clear topcoat for application over stained loghomes or wood exterior surfaces.  Lifeline Advance adds depth and highlights to Lifeline Ultra-2 and Lifeline Exterior, to truly distinguish your log home.

The acrylic resin and updated additives in Lifeline Advance provide the ultimate protection for the color base stain on the exterior of your log home to give you the maximum life for your exterior stain system.

Periodic maintenance of Lifeline Advance clear topcoat helps to insure that you will get the absolute longest possible life from your log home exterior stains.   Lifeline Advance loghome stain clear topcoat has been used sucessfully for years and adds additional UV protection for your loghome stain color coat.

Like all Lifeline finishes, Lifeline Advance is waterborne, environmentally friendly and easy to clean up with soap and water. It breathes to allow moisture within logs to evaporate, while controlling the evaporation rate to reduce checking. When you apply Lifeline Advance over your exterior stain, you increase the UV inhibitors, add water repellency and add additional mildew inhibitors to your exterior finish system.

Lifeline Advance also makes your exterior walls resistant to unsightly dust and dirt. When it is time to clean, Lifeline Advance makes your walls easier to clean, especially when using Log Wash cleaner for an annual cleaning.

Lifeline Advance is available in two different finishes. Lifeline Advance Satin dries to a flat or satin finish, depending on your application. If you prefer a flat appearance, then use just one coat of Satin. If you prefer a satin appearance, then use two coats of Lifeline Advance Satin.

Lifeline Advance Gloss dries to a glossier finish, depending on your application. If you desire a semi-gloss appearance, then apply one coat of Lifeline Advance Gloss. If you want a high gloss appearance, then apply two coats of Lifeline Advance Gloss. You will get longer life from two coats than you will from one coat.

Frequency

  • 1-2 coats over LifeLine Exterior or LifeLine Ultra-2 stains, 1 coat 12-18 months later, then only as required

Special Instructions

  • Exterior, brushed to insure coverage
  • Never apply clear coats to bare wood

Drying Time

  • Dry to the touch in 1 hour and cures in 3 days
